Welcome Dr. Tammy Barnett - Principal of NCPA
The 2022/23 academic year will mark the very first year that Nora Cronin Presentation Academy begins the school year under new Principal leadership. At the conclusion of the 2021/22 school year, Sister Yliana Hernandez, retired as Principal after eighteen years of service to the school.
Dr. Tammy Barnett has joined NCPA as our new Principal after an extensive search and vetting process led by the schools search committee. Dr, Barnett brings with her to NCPA a renewed passion for education and Catholic faith. Prior to joining NCPA Dr. Barnett taught for fifteen years at the United States Military Academy Preparatory School at West Point. There she started an Ecumenical Christian Fellowship Club as well as the Pep Band and Cheerleading Team.
A Catholic convert and a motivational/inspirational speaker, Dr. Barnett is passionate about her Catholic Christian Faith. She feels strongly about Catholic Education's unique ability to develop the whole person – spirit, mind, and body – through spiritual and academic formation based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
