Nora Cronin Presentation Academy Holds First Annual National Junior Honor Society Induction

On Friday, December 15th, Nora Cronin Presentation Academy (NCPA) held their first annual National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony where they inducted four 8th graders. Eileen Alvarado, Arah Farias, Melanie Flores, and Emily Pham were all honored with induction into this prestigious, junior society recognizing their hard work and accomplishments in academics, leadership, character, and citizenship. The students were recognized at a small ceremony at the school in front of teachers, administrators, students, parents and loved ones.

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship and helps middle-level students develop the knowledge and skills to become well-rounded student leaders in their school, community, and beyond.

NCPA follows the NativityMiguel model of schooling taking a faith based, holistic approach to education. In addition to traditional academics, NCPA addresses the physical, social, emotional, moral, and spiritual needs, and develops growth of the student in all areas. The synergies between both the NativityMiguel model and NJHS were the main driving forces to behind introducing the NJHS chapter to NCPA.

“We are very excited to have started a NJHS chapter here and NCPA and so proud to recognize our very first class of inductees. Eileen, Arah, Melanie, and Emily not only represent some of our brightest academics but are also such well-rounded leaders within our school. It is with great honor that we recognize their achievements today,” said Dr. Tammy Barnett, Principal of Nora Cronin Presentation Academy.
