Nora Cronin Presentation Academy Holds Eighth Grade Graduation

On Friday, June 16th, Nora Cronin Presentation Academy (NCPA) held their annual eight grade graduation at Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Newburgh at 6pm. Families and friends of our graduates were in attendance to support the students as they celebrated this termendous milestone.

This year marks the thirteenth eighth grade class to graduate from Nora Cronin Presentation Academy. To date, over two hundred students have gone through the school, graduated and gone on to continue their education at high schools throughout the Hudson Valley. Nora Cronin Presentation Academy has 100 percent eighth grade graduation rate and a 99.8 percent high school graduation rate.

NCPA follows the NativityMiguel model of schooling taking a faith based, holistic approach to education. In addition to traditional academics, NCPA addresses the physical, social, emotional, moral, and spiritual needs, and develops growth of the student in all areas.

About Nora Cronin Presentation Academy: Nora Cronin Presentation Academy (NCPA) is a private, Catholic middle school serving girls of low-income families in the Mid-Hudson Valley. The school is located in Newburgh, NY and serves students in grades 5th-8th. NCPA follows the Nativity Miguel school model taking a faith based, holistic approach to education addressing academic, physical, social, emotional, moral, and spiritual needs of the student, and develops the growth of the student in all areas. NCPA believes education is the pathway out of poverty. While the cost of education is substantial, students are charged no tuition to attend NCPA. To help offset costs, parents are asked to partner with the school by helping to serve meals, clean, perform small repairs and maintenance.
