Kayla Colon

My name is Kayla Colon, and I am a proud Puerto Rican raised in Newburgh, NY. I had the privilege of attending NCPA from 2013 to 2017. In this community, I learned to value my education as well as the importance of diligence. NCPA taught me values that I hold close to my heart today, I am so grateful for the endless support I receive today.

At NCPA, I was allowed to attend Our Lady of Lourdes High School. During my time at OLL, I remained committed to academic excellence while staying actively involved in my community. I knew I had a passion for math and science and decided to pursue a chemical engineering degree at the University of Connecticut.

After graduating this May and reflecting on the past four years, I recognize that the lessons and values learned at NCPA and OLL have helped me overcome challenges and moments of doubt. Currently, I work in Hopkinton, MA as an engineer for MassDOT. I look forward to the growth of my career and my path of life, thank you NCPA.
